American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.20% lower at 167.86 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Thursday. In North Asia, the gainers were led by fabless semiconductor company Himax Technologies (HIMX), and solar equipment company SPI Energy (SPI), which rose 6.7% and 5.4% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Beigene (BGNE), up 1.8%, and telecommunications company China Unicom (CHU), up 1.6%.
The decliners in North Asia were led by O2Micro International (OIIM), which makes power management components for computers, and Korean financial holding company KB Financial Group (KB), which fell 5.6% and 2.8% respectively. They were followed by online game developer Gravity (GRVY), down 2.7%, and IT company ChinaCache (CCIH), off 2.5%.
